How we have responded to Pope Francis’ death on Monday 21 April 2025

Our churches: St Marys, Axminster and St Michael & St George. Lyme Regis were open for prayer and continue to be open daily.
St Augustine of Hippo, Seaton was open on Tuesday 22 April 2025 all day.
Our Parish School prayed in Assembly on their first day of the Easter break and they also visited our church in Axminster for a time of prayer

Heavenly Father, we commend to you the Soul of Our Holy Father Francis, who has died.
May he be admitted into paradise and may his works of love and care for the poor accompany him on his journey into his heavenly reward.
May he, like St Joseph, be held in the arms of Jesus and Mary, and may our sorrow turn into Easter Joy, trusting in your gift of eternal life as we celebrate these Easter Days.
Amen.
