Due to the multiple steps in a very short distance, access into Ss Michael & George can be very difficult for:

• parents who need to keep an eye on a number of little children;
• people with walking aids and those who who maintain their independence by having wheelchairs or other mobility aids.

Wanting to offer a resolution, a design has been worked on which we believe would be sympathetic to the building and likely to be accepted by Historic Churches who will need to review the project.

An initial presentation of the project took place on 17th January 2024, where comments and suggestions from parishioners were taken into consideration.
